(Exercise for Personality Development) Autism Acceptance Month 2022: Day 1 - Introducing Myself

Ronald Anthony Leano Alcorano (yours truly, writing in a third person) is a contemporary digital and traditional visual fine artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD and an emphasis on drawing and painting with sidelines of sculpting, singing and voice acting. He is born on the 27th day of May 2000 in the Philippines. He is a Filipino. He is a Christian but not a Catholic. He is only relying on the Bible rather than different denominations of Christianity.

Ronald has a lot of skills in visual arts. He is just self-taught. He has an emphasis on drawing and painting. And also, an emphasis on both traditional and digital arts. He started drawing when he was 5 years old. He was influenced by paintings he saw in frames, galleries, encyclopaedias and more books. He was also influenced by cartoons he still watches. He usually draws himself and his friends. He also draws landscapes, sceneries, allegorical arts and nudes. Aside from drawing and painting, he also has experience in sculpture. He also has a talent for singing. His taste in music is depending on the seasons of the year. But he always listens to Classical music, hymns, Children’s music, love music, ambient music, pop music, and disco music.

Ronald also has a personality of a turbulent mediator. He is an introvert but still wants to get along with his friends. He is also being aggressive and easily gets mad and stressed. But despite this, he also has a lot of feelings and emotions. He is sensitive in terms of emotions. He is also childlike and somewhat naïve. He is also kind and good. He is also intelligent. He believes that work/study and play/leisure must be balanced even though he is more prone to leisure time. He is also a procrastinator sometimes.

So, as part of my activity for my personality class, I will answer the questions provided for self-reflection

Things that I'm good at

As you see, I'm very good at Drawing and Painting, and I'm also good at singing and sometimes, voice-acting.

What did I learn from my last failure?

I will not tell my details about this failure, but here is what I learned. You have to examine the people you interact with more thoroughly before you promote them to a closer level of friendship. When you have a feeling that this is the right person for you, do not believe it first. Remember that a heart can be deceiving (Jeremiah 7:9), so you have to use your mind more than your heart.

The thing I'm passionate at

As I say, I'm quite passionate about ARTS and aesthetics, so I'm visual smart. And I will love my passion by having myself free enough to draw and paint. And I will find a job that is much related to my passion and use my passion for arts to earn a living.

Five to ten years from now

I see myself in future as a visual artist creating more artworks more frequently than how often I draw in this time, because either, I'm creating my portfolio for a job, making an illustration for a story or both. And I will paint on canvas more often to earn a living. In ten years, I will live a simple yet adventurous life still pursuing my arts and having a job as a textbook illustrator.
